This program provides you with an understanding of and appreciation for the importance of physical activity as it relates to health, fitness, and well being throughout one’s lifespan, with an emphasis on biological, psychological, and sociological factors. This major is taken as part of a Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) degree, which takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of human movement, examining both the arts-based and science-based aspects of Kinesiology and allows you to specialize in an area of study. We also offer a BSc in Kinesiology degree, which takes a more science-focused approach.
The Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation gives you access to all the state-of-the-art learning, research, and athletic facilities at the University of Alberta, while offering small class sizes and specialized, interactive programs. With every degree program, you’ll also have the opportunity to gain work experience by completing a practicum in your final year. |
